Singapore 1991 Stamps - History of Civil Aviation

This set of stamps is released to commemorate the official opening of Terminal 2 at Singapore Changi Airport

The 20c stamp features a Boeing 747-400 in the background and the Changi Skytrain in the foreground. The characteristic 78 meter high Control Tower in Changi is pictured in the 75 c stamp, with a Boeing 747-200 in the background. $1 stamp depicts the Concorde and the now-militarised Paya Lebar Airport (QPG). The highest value stamp depicts the now-defunct Kallang Airport, Singapore's first civilian Airport, with a DC-2 representing the aircrafts of that era.

The design concept of this stamp is actually very similar to the more recent 2011 Aviation stamp. An aircraft representative of the era in the background, and an  airport which represents a milestone in Singapore aviation in the foreground.
